The upbringing and fattening in saltwater goes, from the entry of the smolts coming from the fish farms, to their harvest, that is, when they reach a weight between 3 and 6 kilos, depending on the specie.

This phase lasts from 6 to 10 months, for the species of Coho and Trout salmon; and 12 to 18 months, for Salar salmon.
